Around the world – from stunning Renaissance-era churches in Europe, to rock-solid sturdy villages in the Middle East, to the grandest temples in Asia – at the center of the finest architectural masterpieces is a timberframe. Designed and built to last centuries, timberframe structures stately occupy some of the nicest plots of land on earth. The above is what inspired constructing – on the bank of a pristine 10,000 year old glacier-formed spring-fed mountain lake – the Timberframe Chalet.
Building the Timberframe Chalet — cutting the beams, mortising and tenoning the joints, and dovetailing the purlins – demanded top notch concentration and carpentry. From start to finish it was an extraordinarily satisfying labor of love. Living in the Timberframe Chalet near a beautiful lake in harmony with the rhythms of nature will always be remembered as one of the most enjoyable, satisfying and peaceful phases of life imaginable. What started as an enlightened dream while traveling around the world last century became a wonderful reality this century. Hopefully the Timberframe Chalet – and its divine natural surroundings – will provide heavenly serenity, comfort and enjoyment for eternity. |
